A fashion film shot between a private house and the Simeto nature reserve, just outside Catania.
The second chapter in the series produced for Harim, Accademia Euromediterranea in Catania, built around student designs using YKK zips.
Filming was split between two opposite environments: the interiors of a private house and the Oasi del Simeto nature reserve, at the mouth of the river Simeto in the province of Catania. The reserve is a wetland of dunes, reed beds and river mouth, one of the few habitats of its kind left on Sicily’s eastern coast.
The two-location structure is not a logistical accident but the engine of the film. A domestic space is enclosed and measured, with light entering through openings and falling where it happens to fall; a reserve at a river mouth is open, with no readable boundaries, full light and wind. A garment behaves differently in the two places — it stays still in one, it moves in the other — and the edit can use that gap as rhythm.
It is also the chapter that narrows the series geographically: after a first film shot in scattered locations, here everything gathers around Catania.
The other chapters in the series are YKK 2016, YKK 2019 and YKK 2021.
